ELECTION CAMPAIGN — - LABOUR COMMITTEE SET UP. (“Times-Age” Special.) A meeting of supporters of Mr J. Robertson, M.P., was held in Eketahuna on Saturday night. There was a good attendance in spite of the bad weather. Mr G. Hansen presided. Mr Robertson addressed the meeting on the general lines of Government policy and a campaign committee was set up. PLUNKET SOCIETY SUCCESSFUL DANCE. The Plunket Society held a very successful dance in the Town Hall. Alf Rowden's Orchestra provided the music and extras were played by Mrs G. Hansen, Miss A. Russell and Mr J. Neville. Messrs H. Higgonson and S. Daniel acted as Ms.C.

Novelty dances were won by Miss McGlashan and Mr H. Morrison and Miss Dick and Mr K. Isakson. A competition was won by Mrs Campbell Raleigh, the value of which she handed in to the funds.

The supper was in charge of the Plunket Committee.

Mrs Carter (president) thanked those present for their attendance. To a considerable extent the success of the dance was due to the work of the secretary, Mrs H. Higgonson. The gross proceeds amounted to £44. Personal Items. Dr Mulholland has been on a tour of inspection of the schools in the district. Mrs Doig, Palmerston North, is visiting her mother, Mrs M. Petersen. Pleckville. Pte. Keith Fauvcl, who was seriously wounded, is now out of danger.
