PETROL FOR ALASKA
DEVELOPMENT OF CANADIAN SUPPLY. UNDERTAKEN BY AMERICAN ARMY. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) RUGBY, June 20. The American Army is developing the Fort Norman oilfield, in Canada, and creating a big refinery and pipeline system to supply petrol to Army and Navy units in Alaska, states an Ottawa message. The project is estimated to cost about 138 million dollars and will eliminate the necessity of shipping petrol from the United States.
