WARNING TO SWEDES

The Prime Minister, Mr Hansson, has disclosed that all Swedes will soon get instructions what to do m the event of an invasion. Pie revealed that as long ago as fast March all local authorities were told how they must act in the event of war. They were warned about the danger of local Quislings and instructed to co-operate with the Army wherever possible. “A letter has been sent to all county authorities, the gist of which is that resistance will be kept up under any circumstances —any order to give in would be false,” Mr Hansson added. “These, measures,” he said, “were not caused by any special anxiety, but by the Swedish policy of being prepared for anything.”
