DRAINED OF BLOOD FOR TRANSFUSION PURPOSES. HORROR EXPOSED IN LATVIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received This Day, 12.50 p.m.) LONDON, June 16. The Germans in Riga had recourse to the kidnapping of civilians for blooi transfusions, after failing to find vol untary donors. The Latvian publicist Vilas Latsis, writing in the "Izvestia; states that the kidnapped persons mostly women, are drained of thei: blood and then killed. Recently : woman’s body, completely bloodless was found by workmen in a street Another woman's body, in the sam: state, was found near a park. In botl erffeos. nock and wrist arteries had beei severed. Inhabitants of Riga, identi fying relatives in the town mortuary olten find that the bodies have beer drained of blood.
