Lecture on Israel.
Last night at the Orange Hall Miss Waterston ’ gave a lecture in which evidence was presented from Josephus and Dr Hertz, Chief Rabbi'of London, which, it was claimed, substantiated the New Testament, in showing That the Jews were a remnant of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin. The Jews admitted that the other tribes of Israel were in a dispersion outside of Palestine. Miss Waterston said that the Apostles contacted these Israelites who were settled in Greece, Spain and Britain. The Sonnini document gave St. .Paul’s visit to Spain, Britain, France and Switzerland and shed light on the early church. The next lecture will be' on Sunday at 7 p.m., the subject being “The Significance of the Coronation of George VI.”
