INDOOR BASKETBALL

INTERHOUSE ASSOCIATION CONTESTS.

COMMENT ON THE PLAY.

Playing in the Wairarapa Interhouse Association’s indoor basketball competition in the Y.M.C.A., Masterton, on Monday night, Hansell’s B and Cathie's B turned on a good game. Both teams showed improved combination, Sparklets and United were inclined to introduce rough play which spoiled a good game. Garages showed a vast improvement bitt their goal shooting, (was astray. Rangers played their usual sound game and are showing good form. Rangers B and McDuff’s B played a keen and improved game. McDuff’s A scored a popular win over McKenzie’s and showed improved combination. Cody’s played well against C. Smith’s spoiling tactics. The latter team requires practice in goal shooting. Borthwick’s are improving with each game, while Transport would do better with more understanding between its players. W.F.C.A. played good basketball and Woolworth’s could open up the play more. Hansell's played a good game and were unlucky not to beat Lancers. Lancers slowed up the game by rough tactics. Cathie’s A and Hosiery Mills played a splendid game. Cathie's goal shooting was at fault. Hosiery Mills are on the up grade and should make a good showing in the competition.
