CUBS AND SCOUTS
ACTIVITIES OF PACKS. There was a good attendance at the usual Mo Katoa Cub parade. After an enjoyable sing-song Cub work including elementary first-aid was carried out. Many games were also played. The parade ended with the Grand Howl led by Sixer D. Olson. In connection with tile :as: parade of the Mo Katoa Scout troop, patrols went out separately on a 20-minule opsOi’vatioh toui'. The first tug-o'-war was won by the combined strength of* the Huia and Tui patrols, while the second was won by the- Karoro and Kiwi patrols. An enjoyable new game was played, followed by supper made by experienced cooks. R. Shutkowski and H. Shutkowski passed the Tenderfoot test with good marks. The Inter-Patrol Shield was won by the Huia patrol for May.
The parade closed with the presentation of two proficiency badges, the healthyman and public healthyman, to Patrol Leader W. Kerslake.
