PARTY TRUCE

MINORITY VIEW STATED. AT BRITISH LABOUR CONFERENCE (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, June 14. Some speakers at the Labour Party conference said the electoral truce was devitalising the Labour Party. Lord Strabolgi said: “The truce humbugs the electorate. The Labour Party is dying on its feet. Rumours have been published that the Labour leaders have arranged for a continuance of the war time coalition after the war.” Mi- Attlee: “There is no truth in that.” He added: “The ending of the truce would definitely bring about the end of the present Government. Britain is not so free from danger that we can afford to throw away the unity which has carried us so far.”
