NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER MAKING BY-LAW. TVOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, at a Special Meeting of the Masterton Borough Council, held on 25th day of May, 1943, the following Resolution was passed: — In pursuance of the powers conferred on it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Health Act, 1920, the Cemeteries Act, 1908, and their respective Amendments, and of all other Acts, powers 'and authorities enabling it in that behalf, the Masterton Borough Council hereby makes by Special Order the following By-law:— The Short Title of this By-law is “Masterton Borough Amendment Bylaw, 1943.” The objects and purport of the Bylaw are: — 1. To prohibit the exposure and sale of food (as defined) unless effectively covered and protected against pollution by dust, flies, etc. 2. To extend the definition of hoarding to include windows, doors, used for display as hoarding space. 3. To limit the height of Cemetery memorials, to further restrict planting, to prohibit fences upon grave plots, and to simplify the procedure enabling the Council to remove neglected monuments, etc., on grave plots. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above resolution will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Masterton Borough Council, to be held on TUESDAY, the 22nd day of June, 1943, at the Council Chamber, Chapel Street, Masterton, at 7.30 p.m. A full copy of the said By-law is deposited at the Office of the Town Clark and may be inspected by all persons during ordinary office hours.
