ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

NURSING DIVISION. ATTENDANCE AT HOCKEY MATCHES. At a general meeting o£ the St. John Ambulance Brigade's nursing division, the question of members attending hockcv matches on Saturday afternoons came up for discussion. It was pointed out that all the members of the nursing division were now trained voluntary aids, most of them being girls working in shops and offices during the week. Between 15 and 20 girls are required each weekend for hospital duty, a numbei of them going on duty regularly each week. In view of this it was decided that under present conditions it was not possible fo, members to attend these matches, but members intimated their willingness to be on duty at any tournaments or local sports gatherings during the year. It at a later date it were found possible l to arrange i'oi members to attend weekly matches the Lady Superintendent would make arrangements accordingly.
