HON. W. PERRY
APPOINTED TO WAR CABINET. IN SUCCESSION TO LATE MR COATES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. An announcement that the Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C., had been sworn in yesterday as a member of the Executive Council was made last evening by the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser. Mr Perry, who is president of the New Zealand Returned Services' Association, will take a seat in the War' Cabinet as Minister of Armed Forces and War Co-ordination, a position left vacant by the recent death of the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates.
