APPOINTMENTS MADE
BY FRENCH COMMITTEE OF LIBERATION ELEVEN COMMISSIONERS NAMED. IN ADDITION TO LEADING GENERALS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) LONDON, June 7. The Algiers radio announced that the Committee of National Liberation has appointed eleven commissioners in charge of departments, namely:—M. Mussigli, Foreign Aaffirs; General Catroux, Moslem Affairs; M. Jean Monnet, Armaments, Supply and Reconstruction: M. Rene Pleven, Colonies; M. Rene Mayer, Communications and Merchant Navy; M. Henri Bonnet, Information; M. Andre Philip, Interior; Dr. Jules Abadi, Justice, Education and Health; M. Maurice Couve Demurvillc. Finance; M. Andrew Deithelm, Production and Trade; M. Adrian Tixier, Labour and Social Welfare. . These, with Generals de Gaulle, Giraud and Georges, constitute the Committee, which therefore now numbers 14 instead of seven. M. Bonnet, formerly a League of Nations official, is at present in Washington. M. Tixier was formerly Under-Secretary to the International Labour Bureau. M. Pleven was the de Gaulle Minister for die Colonies. M. Mayer was General Giraud’s Secretary for Communications. M. Abadi was General Girauds Secretary for the Interior. M. Couve Demurville was General Giraud s personal principal secretary. M. Diethelm was General de Gaulle’s Minister for Finance, Economy and the Merchant Navy. ______
