PRACTICALLY NO ALTERATION PROPOSED. COMPARED WITH LAST YEAR’S LEVY. The rates to be levied by the Masterton Borough Council for the current year, which are to be confirmed by the council at a meeting to be held on June 22, are practically the same as those levied last year. In the North Ward the consolidated rate this year remains the same as that of last year, 8.385 d in the £l, while in the South Ward there is a slight increase of .03d in the £l, making it 8.955 d in the £l. as compared with 8.925 d last year. The special rates remain the same, except that in the North Ward there is a reduction of id in the special drainage rate, from 4d in the £1 last year to 3Jd in the £1 this year.
