General Stilwell, commander of the American forces in China, expressed optimism and complete satisfaction regarding activities within his own theattre of war, to which he is returning after- attending the conferences in Washington. He said: "I am certain of one thing—as time goes on we shall have more reason to be proud of our great ally, China.”
