IN THE MEDITERRANEAN. AUSTRALIAN & OTHER ALLIED UNITS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, June 4. Warships of the Royal Australian Navy are again operating in the Mediterranean. Reuter’s Alexandrian correspondent says members of the crews are among the Australian Navy’s most experienced sailors. They saw service under grim conditions at Singapore, in the Dutch East Indies and in the Pacific.
Greek, Dutch, Indian and American naval units are also operating in the Mediterranean with the Royal Navy.
