VETERINARY ASSOCIATION

MEETING IN CARTERTON. APPOINTMENT MADE, (“Times-Age” Special.) Mr E. T. Bliss presided over a meeting of the newly-formed Veterinary Association held yesterday at Carterton. There were also present: Messrs R. Bassett, O. A. Cadwallader, R. Chamberlain, W. H. Harcombe and V. K. Lemberg. It was decided that the association be incorporated. Rules and regulations were drawn up and approved.

The appointment of a veterinary surgeon was made, and his duties will commence on July 1, 1943. It was pointed out that the objects of the association were to provide a veterinary service to both dairy farmers and sheep breeders, the value of which was stressed. It was hoped that both dairy and sheep farmers would avail themselves of this much needed organisation and that they would combine to make it a success.
