An all-U.S. Squadron, flying P3B Lockheed Lightning long range fighter interceptor planes, operating from a base in England. The P. 38 is powered with 12 cylinder, 1500 h.p. Allison engines which give her a speed of over 400 m.p.h. and an exceedingly high rate of climb. Her ceiling is between 35,000 and 39,000 feet. Her armament consists of four machine-guns—two 0.3 inch and two 0.5 inch—and one 20 m.m. cannon in the nose. Her wing span is 52 feet, length 38 feet, and height 9 feet 10 inches.
