ST. MATTHEW’S CHURCH
LADIES’ GUILD. ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS. At the annual meeting of St. Matthew s Ladies’ Guid, Mrs E. J. Rich presided. Apologies for absence were received from Arciireacon Rich, Mesdames Jones, Thomas and Thomnson. The annual report and balance sheet showed that the past year had been a most successful one. Officers for the ensuing year- were elected as follows: —President, Mrs E. J. Rich; vicepresidents, Mesdames S. Mawley. L. B. Maunsell, R. Hatch, T. Denbee. Birch. F. Jaine, Skeet, Alexander and Miss M. Perry; secretary, Mrs J. M. £.ckman; wool secretary. Miss F. Jaine; tea secretary, Mrs Carpenter; buving committee, Mesdames Carpenter, Clarke and Hatch; social committee, Mesdames Jaine and Thomas. It was decided that members canvass for old material, to be remade into garments for the stall at the sale of work. Arrangements were made for a, social gathering to be held on Thursday, June 17, at 2.30 p.m. in the Y.M.C.A. This is to be a “gift or coin afternoon.” . • Mrs Rich thanked members for their loyal support throughout the year. , The meeting closed with the serving of afternoon tea by Mesdames Rich and Alkman. -
