OBITUARY
MRS ELIZA ANN MAHOOD. An old and respected resident of the Wairarapa, Mrs Eliza Ann Mahood, passed away suddenly at her residence, 50 Cole Street, Masterton, last evening. Born at Maketu, near Auckland, 66 years ago, she married Mr James George Mahood, who was county foreman for the Tirau County Council at Okoroire 42 years ago. She had resided at Martinborough for the past 25 years, when her husband took up the position of overseer of the Featherston County Council. She was a loyal member of St. Andrew’s Church and was of a kindly disposition. Her passing will be regretted by a large circle of friends.
Her husband predeceased her 14 months ago and she had since resided in Masterton. She is survived by 3 daughters, Mesdames D. R. Wylie (Pahiatua),, A. T. Carlylon (Eltham), and Miss F. Mahood (Masterton), and by one son, Mr W, E. Mahood (Auckland). The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving St. Andrew's Church. Martinborough, following a service at 11.30 a.m. for the Martinborough Cemetery.
