EKETAHUNA
WOMEN’S DIVISION
BUSINESS AT MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) Mrs McAnulty presided over a fair attendance of members of the Eketahuna branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union, at a meeting held recently. The meeting was opened with the Creed, followed by the prayers for peace.
It was decided to have a bring and buy stall at the June meeting, the proceeds to go towards the cost of a refrigerator for the Rest Home. All branches were asked to help in this matter.
The president introduced the speaker for the afternoon. Miss Tylee, who gave a most interesting talk on art. She employed paintings and drawings from the earliest times. Members also viewed some of Miss Tylee’s paintings, which she did in England, on the Continent, and in New Zealand.
Miss Tylee was accorded a hearty vote of thanks, which was carried by acclamation.
Afternoon tea, served by the hostesses, Mesdames B. Morris and South, brought a pleasant afternoon to a close.
