The Canadian Minister of Labour. Mi - Humphrey Mitchell, has given notice in the House of Commons of a Bill to increase the top earnings limit for coverage under unemployment insurance from 2,000 dollars to 2,400 dollars. The present Act applies to those in insurable employment earning 2,000 dollars or less. With overtime, the cost of living bonus and recent increases in certain wage scales, many employees who normally were covered by insurance moved out of the range of its coverage through their increased earnings.
