STRONG ATTACK
MADE BY CHINESE BOMBERS ON ICHANG. MANY FIRES STARTED IN ENEMY BASE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Cony right' CHUNGKING, May 21. A communique states that a large number of Chinese bombers attacked the Yangtse River port of Ichang, starting many fires. Huge quantities of bombs were dropped on enemy military headquarters and depots. All the bombers returned safely. Ichang is described as an important base for the Japanese drive on Tungting Lake.
