SOLDIER WHO FOUGHT ON AFTER LOSING EYE. OLD UNIT REJOINED IN TUNISIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) CAIRO, May 23. An unnamed, repatriated New Zealand soldier who lost an eye at El Alamein, made his way back to his old unit and fought in Tunisia. He travelled back to the Middle East as a member of the crew of a merchant ship. Obtaining his discharge, he hitch-hiked to Tunisia to repoin his old unit. Efforts are being made to enable him to remain with the New Zealand Division. '
