Air-raid Shelter Work Stopped.

All work on air-raid shelters in Wellington city has been stopped. That does not mean that every shelter has been completed; but that an order has been received from the higher authorities, who require the labour so engaged for other purposes. Basketball Contests. At the Wairarapa Interhouse Association’s indoor basketball competition to be held in the Y.M.C.A., Masterton, on Monday night, it is stated that the matches should prove particularly interesting as evenly matched teams will be competing. Supper was served by the Interhouse girls. At the dance to be held next Friday night a special feature will be a waltzing competition.
