AGAIN BLASTED

IN AMERICAN DAVLIGHT ATTACK SHIP AND U-BOAT YARDS AT KIEL. TARGETS LEFT IN FLAMES. LONDON, May 19 A strong force of American heavy bombers flew more than 400 miles across the North Sea in. daylight today and attacked the great shipbuilding and U-boat yards at Kiel. The weather was sea- . sonable. A communique from U.S.A. Headquarters states that the bombing results were good. Targets were left in flames.

The bombers shot down many of a large number of enemy fighters which came up to meet them. Six bombers are missing.

The United States Army Air Force headquarters in London announce that their bombers shot down 121 enemy fighters during the operations on May 13, 14 and 15. The bombers struck in force with good results against targets at Meaulte and St. Omer, France, Emden and other installations in northwest Germany, and Velsen and Antwerp, Holland. Twenty bombers were lost.
