No meat rations have been distributed since November 11 in several of the departments of the formerly unoccupied zone of France. Although a German communique at the time of the occuption of southern France said that the detachments of occupation would carry their own rations and would need only vegetables for the men and hay for the horses, the German command requisitioned all the stocks of the French army stores and gave orders that its representatives should have right of priority of purchase in butchers’ and grocers’ shops. CARE OF THE HANDS. A little “ANTIKRAK’ rubbed daily into the hands prevents roughness, redness and chapping. Rapidly heals deep skin cracks. After gardening and washing, “ANTIKRAK” acts like a charm. Prices, 1/-, 2/-, 3/6 and 5/6 jar. —J. V. Gordon, M.P.S., Dispensing Chemist, Cosy Theatre Building, Masterton.
