TOUR OF NEW CALEDONIA. (N.Z. Official War Correspondent.) NEW CALEDONIA, May 4. New Zealanders serving in New Caledonia now boast a fully-fledged Kiwi concert party, functioning under the wing of the Army Education and Welfare Service, which has just begun its first official tour of units on the island. The producer-manager is Rex Sayers, formerly of Christchurch and Auckland, who is well-known in New Zealand as a radio announcer, and leading figure in Repertory Society productions. Another Aucklander, “Ossie” Cheesman, is the party’s star musician.
