PERSONAL
Superintendent C. W. Lopdell, of Wellington, visited Masterton yesterday in the course of a tour of inspection of the Wairarapa police stations. The engagement is announced of Denise, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Frey, of Antrim Road, Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Pilot Officer William Michael Sellar, only son of Mr and Mrs G. W. Sellar, of “Makarani,” Masterton. The funeral of the late Mrs T. N. Glover took place in Masterton yesterday afternoon. There was a representative attendance, and many beautiful wreaths were received. Among them were wreaths from the employees at “Tupurupuru” and the Westmere Tennis Club. The services were conducted by the Rev. A. C. Lane, and the pallbearers were Messrs C. Dickie, W. Ireland, P. McGregor and G. Thomson.
