SHIPPING CONCENTRATION AT GIBRALTAR. WITH STRONG NAVAL ESCORT. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.20 p.m.) LONDON, May 16. The German-controlled Scandinavian Telegraph Bureau quotes a report from Madrid stating that shipping concentrations, including fifty freighters and tankers and the battleships Nelson and King George V have been seen at Gibraltar. The report adds that the British naval forces at Gibraltar include the aircraft-carriers Formidable and Furious and sixteen destroyers; also one American and one Polish destroyer.
