TOKEN RESISTANCE
LAVAL’S REPORTED ORDER. TO GOVERNOR OF MARTINIQUE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, May 14. Laval has radioed Admiral Robert, instructing him to make only a token resistance if the Americans attempt to land on Martinique, reports the “Daily Mail’s” Madrid correspondent. These instructions indicate that Admiral Robert is expected to sink his ships.
