BUSY IN DAY & NIGHGT ATTACKS ON GERMAN AND OCCUPIED TERRITORY, BERLIN AGAIN AMONG TARGETS. LONDON, May 16. R.A.F. bombers attacked Berlin again last night. Though the attack was not a heavy one, the night was one of the R.A.F’s. busiest for some time. Besides targets in Berlin, many others were attacked in France, Belgium and Holland. An enemy convoy was also successfully attacked off the French coast. A direct hit was obtained on a 2,500 ton tanker, which burst into flames. Two other supply ships were also hit. Today, the Allied daylight offensive was continued. Squadrons of American Thunderbolts made two successful sweeps over occupied territory and shot down two enemy aircraft, besides damaging several others, at the cost of one American plane. Only two small flights of enemy aircraft were sighted and these were quickly engaged with good results. Other aircraft swept all over the Channel this morning and afternoon but no official report has yet been received about these operations. During the past 24 hours the enemy has attacked several towns and villages in East Anglia and North-east England. Four raiders were shot down. Bombs dropped caused some damage and casualties, including a number of people killed. An enemy aircraft was destroyed off the south-west coast of England yesterday afternoon. RAID DAMAGE IN NORTH-EAST ENGLAND. NUMBER OF CASUALTIES. LONDON, May 16. Raiders made a concentrated attack on a north-east coast town early today and dropped a considerable number of high explosives and incendiaries. Some fires were started in houses and a number of buildings were burnt out. Others were damaged by bombs. A small number of raiders over another north-east coast town damaged houses. There were a number of casualties in both towns. A terrifip barrage met the raiders. '
