OBITUARY

MRS JEANIE GLOVER. The death occurred at her residence, Poro Poro, on Saturday afternoon of Mrs Jeanie Glover, widow of Mr T. N. Glover. Born at Borque, Dalbeattie, in 1879, Mrs Glover, who was the second daughter of Mrs and the late Mr Kirk, Threemirkland, Scotland, arrived in New Zealand in 1910. Mr and Mrs Glover made their home in Poro Poro 29 years ago. Mrs Glover was a highly respected resident of the district, well loved for her bright and cheery disposition. She had been an invalid for many years. Her husband predeceased her two years ago and she is survived by a grown up family consisting of Messrs James, John and Thomas Glover, Mrs R. Fryer (Marton) and Misses Jeanie and May Glover, besides four grandchildren. One son (Thomas) has returned from service overseas and is at present a patient in a military hospital. The funeral took place this afternoon.
