KNOWLES.—On May 14, 1943, at the Public Hospital, Greytown, William Friend, dearly loved husband of the late Mary Ann Knowles, Waterson s Line, Dalefield, Carterton, and loving father of George, Ivy, Will, Len, Mary, Mabel and Maurice; in his 82nd year.
