W.W.S.A. DANCE
PRESENTATION TO MRS WHITTAKER. An enjoyable dance was held in the Masonic Hall on Thursday under the auspices of the W.W.S.A. Opportunity was taken to present Mrs A. Whittaker, Divisional Commander of the W.W.S.A., with a small token in recognition of her services in organising and helping the drill movement, and rendering every assistance to the members. Miss W. Nini delighted all present with three popular vocal numbers. Special thanks were due to Mr Askew, M.C.. and to Messrs Davis and Henderson, doorkeepers, and to all members of the Interhouse Association who responded readily when, asked for assistance. The supper was in the capable hands of the dance committee of the W.W.S.A. under the direction of Mrs McCord. Novety dances were won by Miss E. Pura and Mr Huddleston (lucky spot); Miss R. Kemp and Corporal McCormack (Monte Carlo), and Mr and Mrs Smith (waltzing competition). Mr Raniera kindly plaj'ed an extra. The W.W.S.A. hopes to hold the dances monthly, and perhaps a social evening.
