STATE THEATRE

“ACROSS THE SIERRA.” “Across the Sierra" and ‘Cattle Raiders” will be finally shown at the State Theatre tonight. “WINGS AND THE WOMAN.” Tomorrow night an excellent picture, entitled “Wings and the Woman,” made in co-operation with the R.A.F. and the London Symphonic Orchestra, will be the attraction at the State Theatre. Jt is a compelling, dramatic story of Britain’s most loved heroes of the skyways, filled with gripping aerial thrills, tense adventure, and a poignant romance that premises to hold patrons enraptured. Amy Johnson and Jim Mollison amazed the Empire, and more romantic than fiction could ever be is the story of a girl who devoted her life to military aviation, who ferried bombers to Britain, and who sacrificed all to her duty. The leading roles are taken by Anna Neagle and Robert Newton.
