AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. (“Times-Age” Special.) ', The monthly meeting of the Wairarapa Automobile Association was held in Featherston on Tuesday night, the president, Mr H. Lawson, presiding. It was reported that to date 2352 members had paid their subscriptions, leaving approximately 1672 members still to pay. Twenty-one new members were elected. In a discussion concerning a reported new procedure regarding the use of petrol for business and other purposes, it was stated that the Commissioner of Transport had recently promised the North and South Island Motor Unions that before any alterations were made to the regulations the proposed alterations would be first submitted to the unions. No intended alteration to petrol licences and coupons had so far been suggested. During the month both patrols had been actively engaged sweeping broken bottle glass off the roads. Putting it mildly, there was one broken bottle per chain between Carterton and Masterton.
