CLARK GABLE

PARTICIPATION IN RAID ON ANTWERP. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, May 8. Captain Clark Gable made his first operational flight last Tuesday as a gunnery officer in a Flying Fortress in the raid on Antwerp. He made the observation trip on behalf of a new squadron of Fortresses to which he is attached. He did not man the gun, but he said that he enjoyed the trip and learned a lot that would be helpful to his squadron, which has not yet been in action. The plane came under heavy anti-aircraft fire.
