CHURCH SERVICES

At 11 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church the League of Mothers are holding a church parade. Archdeacon Rich will be the preacher and also at 7 p.m. Mr J. F. Jaine will conduct the evening service at Kuripuni and Mr N. W. Ninnes that at Upper Plain. The service at the Knox Presbyterian Church tomorrow will be conducted by the Rev. J. M. Simpson.

Tomorrow the Baptist Church throughout the Dominion will celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of the Baptist Union of New Zealand by special services of thanksgiving. The Masterton Church will hold services in line with all the churches of the denomination elsewhere. The Masterton Methodist Church services’ tomorrow will be conducted by the Rev. G. H. Goodman at 11 a.m. and by Mr H. Bateup at 7 p.m. Mi- Goodman will also take the service at Kuripuni at 7 p.m. and at Rangitumau at 2 p.m.

Florence Nightingale Sunday and Mother’s Day will be observed at the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church tomorrow, when the preacher will be the Rev. David McNeur. There will be a parade of the nursing staff of the Masterton Hospital. Services will be held at Mauriceville West at 1.30 p.m. and at Eketahuna at 2 p.m.
