Hawera Handicap, 7 furlongs: Duality, 7.0, 1; Whackie, 8.4, 2; Betterman, 7.1, 3.

Results: — Longbeach Hurdles. 114 miles: 1/1. Valantua, 9.13 (Thomson), 1; 4/4, Norse, 9.614 (Holland), 2; 7/7, Good Health, 9.0 (Forsyth), 3. All started. Won by half a head; half a length. Time, 2.54. Midguard fell at the 6 furlong post.
