The French Liberation Army, of 500.000 men will be fully equipped by the end of the year, General Giraud stated. There will be an expeditionary force of 300.000 men and 200.00 men in reserve in Africa. Fifty per cent of the army saw service in France in 1939-40. Most of the officers have arrived from France since November 8, 1942.

“The outlook is most favourable fertile union of all the Fighting French,” General Giraud stated. "We shall soon be in Tunis, where the situation is most troubled. Many Frenchmen who collaborated with the Germans are already fleeing by air. I shall know what to do with traitors who remain. ’
