SPECIAL ALLOWANCE OF PETROL. ACTION BY NEW ZEALAND R.S.A. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The New Zealand Returned Services’ Association has made representations to the Dominion Fuel Controller in regard to the extension to men of the Merchant Navy of the special allowance of petrol granted recently to service men returned from overseas. The matter is receiving the Controller’s consideration 'and arrangements will be made as soon as a satisfactory scheme of recording has been devised. It is announced that of 4,978 returned men discharged prior to March 31 this year, 3,644 have become members of the N.Z.R.S.A.
