MANY OTHERS CRITICALLY INJURED. EXPLOSION IN AMERICAN FACTORY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) NEW YORK, May 5. It is estimated that 25 persons were killed and between 75 and 100 critically injured in an explosion at the Triumph explosive works at Elkton, Maryland. Most of the victims were girls, more than 100 of whom were employed in the wrecked workshops. Two buildings were destroyed by the blast, and a third caught fire. The plant has been the scene of four previous explosions in which five people were killed and 31 injured.
