Florence Nightingale Sunday. The annual Florence Nightingale service will be held in the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church on Sunday, May 9, when, an appropriate service will be conducted by the Rev. David McNeur. All nurses and Voluntary Aids are cordially invited to attend the service, and members of the nursing staff of the Masterton Hospital will parade. A social hour will follow at the close of the service. Prophecy Lectures. Next Sunday a further lantern slide lecture will be given at the Orange Hall on “Palestine Awakes,” and the following Wednesday a lecture will be given on the signs of the end of the age in Germany and Italy. The meeting passed a recommendation to the Wairarapa executive that delegates be appointed to meet delegates from the Sheep Owners’ Federation with a view to amalgamating the two bodies.
