SECONDARY PUPILS TERM PARTY. i (“Times-Age” Special.) The secondary pupils of the Greytown District High School held their term party in the Odd Fellows’ Hall on Tuesday evening. The hall was packed with pupils and their parents and friends. During the evening, Noleen Wallace recited. The Third Form girls sang two songs; Lorraine Sugrue pleased the audience with a tap dance. Most 1 of the time was spent in dancing. The Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss Oxford and Mr Bruce Garrity. The veleta statue dance was won by Mr and Mrs J. Reid. At the conclusion of the gathering, Mr. S. Shedden thanked the pupils for the very creditable way in which they had organised the party. He also introduced Mr Brooking, the new assistant. The pianist was Mrs. H. G. Carter assisted by Misses K. Bouzaid, Burch and M. Carter. Supper was served by the pupils. Personal. Mesdames E. Bedford (Waitara) and F. Early (Auckland) are the guests of Mrs. E. Playle, Kuratawhiti Street. TOWN HALL DOUBLE PROGRAMME. There will be two big features shown at the Town Hall tonight. “Born to Sing,” is an excellent comedy with Virginia Weidler and Ray MacDonald in the chief roles, and ‘“No Hands on the Clock,” is a sensational drama featuring Chester Morris, Jean Parker and Dick Purcell.
