FIGHTER SWEEPS

BY R.A.F, & AMERICANS. SMALL ENEMY VESSEL DESTROYED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 1.30 p.m.) RUGBY, April 29. It is officially stated that aircraft of the Fighter Command and United States Army Air Force carried out sweeps over Northern France, Holland and Belgium today. Whirlwind bombers attacked enemy shipping and destroyed a small vessel. Two American fighters are missing.
