OBITUARY

MRS ELEANOR CROSS. The death occurred at a private hospital in Carterton yesterday of Mrs Eleanor Cross, widow of the late Mr Henry Roland Cross, of Masterton. The late Mrs Cross, who was born at Newcastle-on-Tyne 59 years ago, came to New Zealand in 1903 and had resided in Masterton for 13 years. For the past 12 months she had lived in| Carterton. During the Great War she served in England as an driver.

Her husband predeceased her in 1940 and she is survived by one son, Mr Hope Cross, of Masterton, who is at present serving in the R.N.Z.A.F.’ The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving the Chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Service, Ltd., following a service at 2 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
