MADE BY R.A.F. IN BURMA.
NO CHANGE IN LAND POSITION
(British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) RUGBY, April 28.
An India war communique states: ‘•There is nothing to report regarding land fighting. Yesterday R.A.F. Beaufighters attacked factories and road and river transport in Burma. A number of supply barges and a double-decked steamer were damaged, and at one factory a boiler house blew up. Blenheims, escorted by Hurricanes, bombed a Japanese supply dump at Akyab and an enemy-occupied village at the end of the Mayu Peninsula. From these operations all our aircraft returned.”
