MANY VICTORIES

WON BY NEW BRITISH AIRCRAFT=CARRIER INDOMITABLE NOW WITH HOME FLEET. UNIT IN FAMOUS MALTA CONVOY. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON, April 28. The aircraft-carrier Indomitable is now in service with the Home Fleet. The newest of Britain’s aircraft-car-riers, she is reported to be doing good work. It is disclosed that the Indomitable was part of the famous convoy to Malta last August and she has built up a formidable score of victories. One of the Illustrious type, her armament is capable of giving the enemy an uncomfortable time. The number of planes she carries has not been disclosed, but the Ark Royal which had a smaller displacement, carried 60. The planes on the Indomitable are Seafires and Albacores and Reuter's naval correspondent says Fleet Air Arm pilots think they are wonderful. Thanks to the Albacore torpedo-bom-bers they have been able to develop a new attack technique.
