SERVICE CLUB
NEW HOURS TO BE OBSERVED. Members of the Allied Forces made good use of the facilities of the American Red Cross Service Club in Masterton during the Easter holidays. Men were supplied with meals at the canteen as follows:—Friday 740, Saturday 971, Sunday 759, and Monday 737, a total of 3207. On account of leave arrangements, the club will be open from 3 p.m. daily from now on, and the first shift of volunteer helpers will now be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Workers in the 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. shift will be notified and will be asked to assist on other shifts. On Sundays the club will open at noon.
There will not be a dance on Saturday night, but a dance will be held on Friday night and on Sunday a 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. tea dance will be held. All men in uniform are invited to the tea dance. The Marine Band will supply the music. Additional helpers are still required at the club.
