DUMPS SEIZED IN BELFAST
BY ULSTER CONSTABULARY.
NUMBER OF PERSONS DETAINED.

A statement today from the headquarters of the Royal Ulster Constabulary in Belfast says two important seizures of arms dumps have been made in Belfast. One dump consisted of one Thompson gun, three revolvers, two Mills grenades and 250 runds of ammunition. The other dump included home-made bombs and a quantity of material for the manufacture of explosives. A number of persons have been detained. PRECAUTIONS TAKEN ON ANNIVERSARY OF 1916 REBELLION. (Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) BELFAST, April 25. Policemen, in armoured and cage cars, patrolled the Falls Road area to prevent celebrations of the anniversary of the 1916 Irish rebellion. There were no incidents. The police are also searching for the members of the I.R.A. --McAteer, Steel and others —who yesterday made a cinema appearance.
